In remarks at the event, PM Rama stated that the Political Academy of the Socialist Party is a “hotbed that has begun to yield its early fruits.”

“I am pleased that we are concluding a cycle and launch a new one, provide the participation certificates to the members of the first cycle. New members of the Political Academy will begin the second cycle,” Rama stated.

The government head said that politics should be seen as an instrument to deliver on change and do things that people can’t do individually.

Rama underlined the need for more young people to directly engage in the decision-making process within the ruling Socialist Party.

“Our party needs to usher in a process of political education, voluntary commitment and just like any other well-organized community, the Socialist Party needs to overcome narrow vested interests.

He stated that a Political Academy is a tool that needs to be established immediately.

“Establishing a Political Academy of the Socialist Party in line with the best international standards on continuing education with the sense of community and principles, common goals and initiatives, is not a magical solution, but an imperative of this intermediate time between us and the 20-year old people,” the Socialist leader said.

PM Rama said “everyone should be alarmed if they don’t want to see the end of the SP hegemony.”
