TIRANA April 12 /ATA/ The response time of the State Police after receiving a notification is only 18 minutes from 35 minutes a few years ago.

Prime Minister Edi Rama posed a question to his followers on instastory on the social network Instagram, in the section “100 days, 100 achievements” asking them how long was the average response time of the Police after receiving a notification, 35 minutes or 18 minutes.

“18 minutes is today the response time of the police services from 35 minutes in 2013. The speed of response will increase further in the years to come,” said Rama.

Through the force control room at Tirana’s Police Directorate, the police stations are coordinated in real time with the patrols, the special unit, the body-worn police cameras to maintain order and security.

Via the unique number 112, the force control room receives an average of 1400 calls per day from the citizens of Tirana with 120 notifications sent per day via the application Digital Commissariat that covers all of Albania.
Police response is mandatory. According to data from the State Police, if years ago there was an average of 50% of cases when we responded, while for the remaining 50% no action was taken, now the police are obliged to act on every call they receive.

This is thanks to technology which has served to improve service to citizens.
