During this conference, Çuçi stated that, today, the State Police are one of the most reliable institutions in the country and that the Index of citizen satisfaction with the police performance has marked a significant increase from 36% in 2013 to 59% in 2022.

“This fact shows that all our efforts seem to have paid off. This could not have been achieved without partners like the Swedish government and this project,” the minister said.

He went on listing other achievements of the State Police, especially through the use of technology.

“We have shifted from police patrols that sometimes halted people even without reason to the use of automatic radars and smart cars, reducing the contact of the citizen with the police officer, which in many cases was also a source of bribery. Soon we will introduce the immediate electronic notification of the citizen in case of violation and we will continue the investments in technology and digital equipment to increase the quality of the work of the Police. Next year alone, we plan to make 7.6 times more investments in Technology in the State Police,” he said.
