TIRANA, Jan 9 /ATA/- By Maela Marini/ Prime Minister Edi Rama praised on Sunday the conduct of the State Police, in the protest held yesterday at the Democratic Party headquarters, adding that thanks to the intervention the tragedy was averted.

In a livestreamed conversation with the Democrats, Rama said that “Yesterday the police faced the most difficult challenge, because it was challenged by an event with potential for bloodshed in the courtyard of a political party, not because of the attack from its opponents, but a barbaric fight with itself. ”

Rama said that “the State Police have been trained all these years to deal with this kind of political substance, approach and political direction that uses violence as a political tool in aggression against buildings.”

“Yesterday, the Police deserved the respect of each one of us, very special thanks and congratulations, because it maintained the standard it set when protecting the government building, from this substance, flow, crowd, which yesterday was divided in half, a part inside, a part outside the building with both sides attacking each other,” said Rama.

The Prime Minister stressed that “after the tragedy was averted and after things returned to normalcy, they reacted against the Police”.

“These two political corpses that have taken the DP hostage are deficient in the culture of respect and law, because they are in fact the same thing, the same political waste, one is older, the other is younger, but the same waste divided in half, ” said Rama. /m.m/j.p/sm/
