Police are carrying out procedural steps to establish the full circumstances of the incident, identify those involved and refer the case to the Prosecutor’s Office in accordance with the law.

The State Police condemns any act of violence, threats or intimidation against citizens and guarantees the constitutional right to peaceful protest. However, this right cannot be used to threaten, target or attack other citizens because of their views and beliefs.

No one can take the law into their own hands, decide who should be punished and enforce that decision on the streets. The enforcement of the law is the exclusive responsibility of state institutions.

The State Police has urged citizens to avoid confrontation and refrain from responding to violence with violence. Anyone who feels threatened or intimidated is encouraged to report the matter to the Police. All complaints will be taken seriously and dealt with in accordance with the law.
