Emergency teams have been established in all Regional Police Directorates to liaise with local government officials, contracting firms, and civil emergency services.

The Lezha Road Police have urged freight vehicle drivers to exercise maximum caution when crossing the Mat Bridge.

The police’s appeal is specifically directed at all drivers with vehicles that have tarps.

The police urge that the tarps be removed to prevent the risk of destabilization from the wind or sudden drifts if the vehicles are moving without cargo.

“The speed limit must be adhered to, and traffic signs and road police instructions must be followed,” the police stated.

According to the police, these measures are necessary to ensure road safety and prevent potential incidents.

The Road Traffic Services intervened to assist a family stranded on the road to Mount Tomor, as their vehicle could not proceed due to the heavy snowfall.

While patrolling the Poliçan-Mali i Tomorit road, the Road Traffic Services encountered a vehicle that had stranded, with five people inside, including two children. The family from Berat had travelled to Mount Tomor, but on their way back, the vehicle skidded on the snow and sustained tire damage, preventing them from continuing toward the city.
