TIRANA, Jan 31 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama said that although the Academy of Security falls far from European standards, the new initiative to integrate students into a newly established Faculty of Law and Investigation, coupled with the plan for a modern Security campus, will make the State Police of 2030 one of Albania’s most significant accomplishments within the European Union.

In his address at the presentation of the survey assessing public perception of security and trust in the State Police, Rama acknowledged that while notable improvements have been made at the Academy of Security, there is still more work to be done.

“To take State Police closer to EU average across all areas, it’s essential to tackle the issues highlighted in the survey, which are closely tied to the public. Moreover, there are numerous other factors that, while not directly related, still significantly affect the public’s interests. To achieve this, we need a European-level Academy of Security, which we currently do not have, to guarantee complete transparency with one another,” said Rama.

The Prime Minister mentioned that by 2030, the State Police will be one of Albania’s greatest achievements in the EU.
