Rutte emphasizes that “promoting cooperation with and within the Western Balkans. This is the purpose of the Berlin Process Summit in Tirana, which I am attending today.”

“Cooperation is important, because a closely knit Balkan region will be better placed to take the necessary steps towards a common European future,” the Dutch Prime Minister said.

According to him, this unity is especially important given that the war in Ukraine is still raging; a war on our continent.

“And there are more conflicts on the periphery of Europe that affect our stability, including in Nagorno-Karabakh. And since last week the spiraling violence unleashed by the terrorist attacks of Hamas”, says Rutte.
