Along with the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dhimo Kote, the Minister of Ekonomi visited the Bank of Genetic Resources of Tirana attended also by the Vice Rector of Agriculture University of Tirana, Prof.Dr. Alban Ibraliu.

“Director of the Institute of Plant Genetic Resources (HRI) Prof.Dr. Fetah Elezi and the researchers of the Institute informed us about the work done so far on the preservation and use of plant genetic resources in the country,” Minister Ekonomi sid.

“Undoubtedly, these varieties are a good driver in the development of agritourism in the country,” Ekonomi said.

“Exports is leading the country. Certainly, we need high-yielding varieties, but we also need specific fertilizer products,” Ekonomi said.

Minister Ekonomi added that, “the government is very committed to develop agritourism in Albania, considering it as a development model, especially for small farmers.” //a.i/
