In a televised interview from Ulcinj, where he was invited to attend the concert of the world-famous tenor from Kosovo, Ramë Lahaj, Prime Minister Rama spoke about the situation in Kosovo.

The Prime Minister emphasized that he has not discussed this issue last night with the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, who was also invited to this concert.

“We maintain a friendly rapport and stay in touch, but last night was not the occasion to discuss in some depth, but to enjoy the beautiful view of Ulcinj bay together with the amazing sounds of the concert and the unique voice of the Kosovar tenor,” he said.
Speaking about the situation in Kosovo, he said that Kosovo should step up and push forward the Franco-German plan.

“I have asserted my opinions, and many of those who comment by taking revenge, or complaining, or expressing negative feelings to our friends, partners, allies, is that while we are talking the talk, the truth is that unlike the other times in the past, Kosovo has the best offer on the table, which is Kosovo in the first place and we Albanians are the first to be interested and we must push it forward until the end,” he said.

The Prime Minister emphasized that it is necessary to insist on the table and to use this great potential of alliance and friendship with the Euro-Atlantic community, to compel Serbia to accept the Franco-German plan.
“This practically means definitely clearing the path for a Kosovo recognized by all and insuring its own seat in the United Nations. If we forget this then we get into a tangle and we don’t understand what we are talking about,” he added.
