Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj called on Albanian women and girls to protect their lives by undergoing regular mammography and other medical test as the only way to detect breast cancer at an early stage.

“Albanian women become strong amid the storms they experience throughout their lives. I hope today’s march is an anthem for all Albanian women, a way to raise awareness, as well as a gratitude to the fantastic YWCA team that has stood loyal to an incredible cause against breast cancer over the years,” Veliaj  said in his remarks.
