The Board of the Energy Regulatory Entity (ERE) informs that it will start the procedure for licensing the company “IDI 2005” ltd in the activity of electricity production from the photovoltaic plant “TEKSOEN 1”, with an installed capacity of 2 MW, located in the administrative unit of Povelçë, in Fier.

Alternative energy sources from solar panels and floating photovoltaic plants are a new way to create energy security and reserves.
Until mid-July, 33 licenses for production of energy from photovoltaics were issued by the Energy Regulatory Entity.

The net domestic production of electricity in this period increased by 37.8% reaching the value of 2,269 GWh from 1,647 GWh of energy produced in the second quarter of 2022.

This production was realized by public hydropower plants to the extent of 52.3%, by private and concessionary hydropower plants to the extent of 46.5% and by other producers (Photovoltaics) to the extent of 1.2% of the net domestic production of electricity.
