TIRANA, October 6/ATA/ At the Center for Openness and Dialogue (COD) there was opened the exhibition “Remains of Paranoia” by the German author and photographer Alfred Diebold.

The exhibition brings for the first time historical fragments from the period of communist paranoia in Albania.

Fighter planes, submarines, tanks, bunkers, tunnels and military installations, documented by Diebold, in the premises of the Premier’s Office, are the results of a historical period with certain not only political, but also socio-cultural contexts.

The areas of Pasha Liman, Porto Palermo, Gjadri, Pocesta, Kuçova, Qafë-Thana and the island of Sazan, which were and are strictly prohibited and dangerous for the public, present a material dimension of essential significance of objects, natural environments and to those created by man himself.

The “Remains of Paranoia” exhibition will remain open to the public until November 5, 2022./p.s./
