TIRANA, October 24/ATA/ Lushnja is consolidating its role as one of the main centers of Albanian agriculture, with a steady increase in agricultural production and exports. Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Andis Salla visited “Neta’s business”, one of the most active operators in the collection and export of seasonal fruits and vegetables.

Salla noted that, “Neta’s business” has become a model of success thanks to dedication and many years of work, where dozens of trucks are loaded with agricultural products from Myzeqeja every day to be exported to the European markets.

“We are preparing small tomatoes for export to North Macedonia. Production is according to the required standards, as the analyzes have resulted in full compliance with the rules,” Neta said during the conversation with the minister.

Minister Salla praised the efforts of farmers and businesses for the certification of agricultural products, emphasizing the significance of quality and standards as the only way to ensure sustainable exports and higher incomes for the farmers.

“I have issued an order for the control of every agricultural pharmacy. Anyone who trades prohibited pesticides or uncontrolled products will face punitive measures, up to the closure of the activity. We will not allow anyone to damage the market or orient farmers unfairly,” the minister stressed.

He added that the goal is for “Made in Albania” products to be increasingly present both in the domestic market and in elite exports to Europe. e.xh/j.p/p.s./
