In a statement to the media following the meeting, the DP leader Basha said that, “I expressed my gratitude to Foreign Minister Szijarto for the support that Hungary has provided to Albania on its path towards EU membership.”

“I guaranteed that after April 25 elections, will be a new era of cooperation with Hungary and other EU member states, in order to accelerate Albania’s EU membership process starting with the fulfillment of all conditions that will pave way for the opening of negotiations. Due to failures of 8 years of Rama government Albania has to meet 15 conditions and it will be the change of April 25 that will make possible the unblocking of the European path of Albania,” Basha said. //a.i/
