While in Brussels to attend the EU-Western Balkans summit, the prime minister took the opportunity to attend the meeting of the sister parties.

The meeting of the leaders of the Party of European Socialists was held on the eve of the European Council.

According to a press release from the Socialist Party, the leaders of the Party of European Socialists stood united to strengthen the stability of Europe, to support Ukraine, to advance a fair path towards peace in the Middle East and to forge alliances through trade and cooperation. /m.m/j.p/p.s./

Rama said this morning that the Congress of European Socialists and Democrats closes today by noon with remarks by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

On the sidelines of this event, Rama took the opportunity to hold meetings with the leaders of European countries, invited to the Congress of the European Socialist Party.

Rama is participating in the Congress of the European Socialist Party that is taking place in Berlin (October 14-15).

Earlier, Rama said that the progressive political forces from all over Europe would discuss how to face the common present-day challenges, from war inflation to the imposed energy crisis. /j.p/p.s./

Posting a photo with Stanishev on the sidelines of the PES Congress in Berlin, the senior Socialist official appreciated Sergei Stanishev for leading the Party of the European Socialists in the last decade, the strong and excellent cooperation with Albania’s Socialist Party.

”PES brings together socialist, social-democrat and labour parties from all over European Union area and Norway to fight for a better and more progressive Europe,” Balla said via the social media.

“On behalf of the PES family, let me congratulate for the victory of your party last Sunday.
Despite the challenging COVID 19 context, Albania succeeded to organise free, fair and inclusive election in the framework of the new electoral law, it is a real achievement,” the letter reads.
“Seeing the positive outcome, the wish of the voters is clear. Your citizens want you to continue to follow the European path and implement your Social-Democratic programme.
During the last years, your government pursued the reforms needed to make Albania a better country for its people and continue the way to be part of the European Union,” according to Stanishev letter.
