TIRANA, Oct 24 /ATA/ The public discussion on the issue of pensions has continued in all regions countrywide, where insightful meetings have been organized with the category of pensioners.

The Parliament Speaker, Elisa Spiropali, along with ministers of the government cabinet, also heads of the Socialist Party in the regions, have held daily meetings with pensioners to inform them about the challenge of integrating them in space of economic growth.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared a photo album on social media featuring these meetings, writing in the caption below that the government and the parliamentary group of the Socialist Party have engaged throughout Albania in an open discussion on pensions as part of the journey towards Albania 2030.
“We have shared facts and viewpoints with retirees regarding the challenge of integrating them in the country’s economic growth space,” said Rama.
“Pensions, Towards Albania 2030” is the next public discussion initiated under the stewardship of Prime Minister Edi Rama, turning the spotlight on the importance of cracking down on under-reporting payroll as the main enemy of pensions.
This week, Prime Minister Rama held meetings with pensioners to inform them about the government’s commitment to tackling pension issues, aiming to come up with a quick and sustainable solution in this regard.
Rama also had a discussion with entrepreneurs, underlining the importance of combating informality and under-reporting of payroll.
Prime Minister Rama urged entrepreneurs to put up a united front in the effort to end this unjustifiable phenomenon and ensure that retirees receive their rightful share from every wage in the country.
