Peleshi underlined that in this term we will rectify even those mistakes that have been made in the past. We took office after eight years in opposition, although we worked day and night and tried to do our best, we know that we might have inadvertently hurt anyone, so we had to sit down, talk, meet once, twice, three times and to listen to them, to explain them that every injury did not come on purpose but because our society is not yet perfect. Our society is far from being perfect, so today we are happy and look forward to hitting the ground running and this campaign helped us understand and rectify every mistake together,” he said.

MP Peleshi also commented on the dissolution of SMI in this region, which did not get any mandate and suffered one of the biggest defeats. “All the socialists have gone to the polls. We have maintained the edge, we are 10,000 votes ahead of the others. We have received over 60,000 votes across the constituency. We won in almost every municipality of the region, even in Devoll, where we were minus 2700 votes, now we are almost in a draw. So we have won a landslide victory. The SMI left crestfallen at the result.

The leader of SP in the region of Korça Niko Peleshi addressed the DP supporters saying; We need the support of opposition in local and central government level. Opposition is not our enemy, on the contrary it is an added value to our society and so all the democrats in this city should look to us, to our doors, to the SP, to me personally, they can rely on our support to contribute to the common good.
