From Biranji, at a meeting with the locals, Peleshi listed the reasons why they should entrust the rest of the works to the ruling Socialist Party in the next four years.

Peleshi, also Minister of Defense, brought to attention the management of pandemic period by this government and its success to procure the vaccine supplies becoming the first country in the region to start the mass inoculation that will be spread to every inhabited center.

“Since the village is now part of large municipalities with the new territorial administrative division in place, there are more opportunities for financing the public works. The reconstruction has continued uninterruptedly, the pandemic has not caused any setbacks and most important of all it has not strained the capacities of our health system. Albania is one of the first countries in the region that has procured sufficient supplies to sustain the vaccine rollout.”

Peleshi added that the scrapping of VAT on agricultural inputs was a useful incentive because the cut in input prices results in a lower cost of products and and in turn increased income for the farmer.
