Spiropali expressed that this step marks a rare and vital breakthrough.

“Welcoming the dawn of hope in Gaza. The initial phase of the peace deal, rooted in the US President’s proposal, marks a rare and vital breakthrough,” the minister stated.

Spiropali also commended the diplomacy of the United States, Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey.

“We commend the tireless diplomacy of the US, Qatar, Egypt and Turkey for steering this moment towards light,” she said.

“A step closer to free the innocent, silence the guns, and let peace take root,” Spiropali said.
Every ceasefire begins as a call of humanity, she concluded.

Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas have begun implementing initial steps toward approving a peace deal, the U.S. President Donald Trump announced today.

Israeli media reported that the Security Cabinet is scheduled to meet this afternoon to receive updates on the Gaza agreement, with a full government session planned afterward to vote on the deal.
