TIRANA, October 7/ATA/ A new self-service kiosk from IPORT has been installed at “Mother Teresa” Tirana International Airport, which helps travelers get their boarding pass very quickly.

TIA said that the travelers need to scan their passport and immediately receive their boarding pass, making the travel experience faster and simpler.

This new technology simplifies the check-in process, reduces waiting time and increases comfort for the passengers.

TIA said that it is committed to introduce modern technology to improve operations and ensure a smooth journey for all passengers.

Recently, Tirana International Airport has experienced great passenger flows as the tourist boom continues in the country. In July, according to the data of the International Council of Airports, Albania led with the extraordinary increase of over 200% in the number of passengers.

TIRANA, August 14/ATA/ The numerous tourists who visit Albania choose not only the sea, but also the freshness of the mountains for a fantastic experience.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared today in the social media photos from the unequalled Valbona pass, visited during this season by tourists like never before.

The Valbona Pass is an epic trail into the entire Albanian Alps, on demand and traversed by many Albanian and foreign travelers all year round.

Located at an altitude of 1759 m above sea level, it is surrounded by other higher peaks such as Ali peak, Hekura peak, etc.

The trail begins in the Gjelaj neighborhood, in the Rragam village of Shala.

Valbona Pass can be reached in 2.5 – 3 hours, including stops, from either side. In total, this trail takes 6-7 hours of walking. /m.m/p.s./

TIRANA, August 17/ATA/ The Authority for Information on Former State Security Documents has declassified Valmir Pass massacre file.

In context of curing the past, the Authority for Information on Former State Security Documents commemorated today the Valmir Pass massacre of 26 people being sentenced to imprisonment, hanging and shooting.

The Authority announced on this occasion the declassification of the file of the Valmir massacre and making it available to researchers.

“The data, in the investigative file of Nikolle Bardhok Bajraktari and 25 others. The file can be made available to researchers, in accordance with the amended law 45/2015 and the guide for researchers and the media “, it is said in the announcement.
