The mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, said that he will remember Hueyda as a girl with positive vibes, who gave a lot of love.
“Promoting kindness is the best way to move forward. Today on the first day of of the new season, for a girl that resonated positive vibes, I am very happy that in the first alley by the lake, perhaps in the most beautiful place, against the most peaceful backdrop, an ideal place for reflection, we put a bench engraved with her name,” said Veliaj.

The mayor said that good persons have the power to unite people ever after they pass away.
Thierry Grosjean, the husband of the late ballerina said that, “today is a special day for Gabriel and me, but also for the family and friends here. Today we are here, on Hueyda’s birthday, to celebrate life, to remember Hueyda as an artist. Thanks for the tree and the bench! The tree symbolizes Hueyda’s view of love. For me and Gabriel, but also for the family, the fact that we are here, witnessing the continuity and beauty of life and of Hueyda as an artist, is very meaningful.”
