Artists dressed in traditional stage costumes aroused the curiosity of Tirana citizens, who were amazed by their beauty and colors. They showed off the traditional costumes of the era in front of TKOB, while many fascinated onlookers enjoyed their performance.

These costumes will be used by artists in the “Masked Ball” play written by Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi, which will be staged at the National Opera and Ballet Theatre on the evening of June 1.

“Masked Ball” is set against the 1913 backdrop in a set and costume design created in that period and recently restored.

Tonight at 24:00 hrs Tirana will be lit up by about sixty thousand LED lamps installed on “Murat Toptani” street.

From May 31 to June 7, the Cultural Week of Italy will take place in several cities of Albania. This week is organized in the framework of “International Culture Weeks,” an initiative of the Albanian government under the motto “Albania welcomes the world” which is attended by 17 different countries around the world, as well as European Union countries.
