The panel of judges composed of Rezarta Schuetz, chairwoman, Mimoza Tasi, relator, Albana Shtylla, Ina Rama, Sokol Çomo, members took the decision to dismiss Prosecutor Pano today.

The decision of the Special Appellate College overturns the decision taken by the Independent Qualification Commission that had decided earlier to confirm prosecutor Pano in office. The decision was taken on November 24, 2022. It was the Public Commissioner Irena Nino who found the Independent Qualification Commission’s decision unfounded and asked the College to dismiss prosecutor Pano from office for incorrect and insufficient declaration of wealth, as well as professional deficiencies.

In conclusion, the judicial body of the Special Appellate College decided by majority of votes to change the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission for prosecutor Erion Pano and dismissed him on the grounds that he does not reach a reliable level in the wealth criterion./p.s./
