TIRANA, February 4/ATA/ Today, there is opened the second call for support for 2,000 families to install solar panels for water heating, said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Belinda Balluku.

After the success of the first call, where 1,981 families across the country have solar panels for water heating installed in their homes today, subsidized at 70% by the state budget, work has already begun on the second call, a measure that directly affects the reduction of electricity bills for families that have installed this system.

In the Farka area of Tirana, where she visited one of the families that benefited from the first call, Deputy PM Balluku explained that the second call has started with the opening of applications for the interested businesses that provide this service. Upon completion of this phase, starting on February 24, the applications will be open for the citizens.

“All the business that wish to provide services, installation and solar panels for the households must start applying on the Energy Efficiency Agency website. And then the second phase begins, on February 24, all family subscribers who wish to be equipped with these solar panels, which are subsidized 70% by the funds created by the Energy Efficiency Agency, can start their application, considering that 2000 units are available to be used in this second package”, explained Balluku.

The minister added further that the diversification of renewable sources is a national strategy, which the Albanian government has been pursuing since 2019, but what we are asking for, Balluku added, is the involvement of all citizens in this strategy which will lead our country towards a secure future in the energy sector, turning Albania into a net energy exporting country by 2030. /a.f/r.e/p.s./

TIRANA, January 10/ATA/ The Albanian government will soon announce the second support package for solar panels in family homes.

Prime Minister Edi Rama gave the news while responding in the social media to a question whether the citizens who would individually install solar panels on their roofs, whether in buildings or in apartment blocks, could have any facilities.

The head of government emphasized that our country is the first in the region in terms of self-production of solar energy.

“Yes, of course, there is and that is why we are today the first in the region for self-production of solar energy by families and businesses. We produce 196 megawatts, four times that of Serbia and more than ten times the amount of Kosovo, Montenegro and North Macedonia.

The announcement of the second support package for solar panels for family homes will soon be made and it will undoubtedly be a success, because the same like with the first package, there was a great interest and as a matter of fact all the financing was used 100%”, said Rama.

Rama also underlined that Albanian citizens know how to make the difference between the party that works and is useful for them from those who undo what is done. The head of government highlighted that the price of electricity has been reduced by 10.5% while adding that within a few years the country will gain full energy independence.

“Real Albanian life is not the life of social networks nor of those who, even when the price of energy decreases by 10.5% like nowhere else, get frustrated at what we call a historic achievement. The real life is the life of extraordinary efforts to move forward. Such has been this effort to transform Albania in a decade from a financial black hole in the energy sector in the middle of Europe, into a country that in a few years gains full energy independence, raising the flag of energy sovereignty and covering 100% the needs with domestic production, becoming a net energy exporting country”, said Rama.

Rama added that, “The real reason why I and the Socialist Party win, is not that the people are stupid, but that the people have more clarity and are fairer in evaluating work and giving everyone their due”. /a.f/r.e/p.s./

TIRANA, November 5/ATA/- The Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy released the explanatory instructions for the families that will be declared winners of the 70% subsidy for solar panels for heating sanitary water.

According to the ministry, the citizens should follow three steps after applying online to the Energy Efficiency Agency.

The citizen who will be declared the winner, after receiving the confirmation by e-mail and having passed the “Approved” status on the www.eficenca.al portal, must within 7 (seven) days select only one of the subjects published on the official website www. .eficenca.gov.al .

The selected entity must verify the possibility of installing the panel in the citizen’s house declared winner.

In the second step, when the installation of the panel is considered possible, the citizen declared winner must pay the first invoice in the amount of 30% of the offer (with VAT) of the selected entity.

After the citizen makes the payment, the entity must proceed with the installation of the panel within 15 working days.

While in the third step, after the installation, the citizen must sign a statement that the subject will present to him, that the panel has been installed according to the required conditions and then he will wait for the Energy Task Force to verify the installation.

In order to benefit from the scheme, one of the criteria is that the applicant family must not have any obligations towards the Universal Service Provider, so it is necessary to obtain the Debt Verification which is made possible through the application on the e-Albania government portal as well as at the client care counters.

Based on the large flow of requests in E-Albania for obtaining “certificates of debit”, the Universal Service Provider appealed yesterday to family subscribers to apply at the Customer Care offices in the districts.

Universal Service Provider’s regional directorates, through 100 Customer Care offices located throughout the country, have the opportunity to respond in time to requests for issuing debit evidence, but also in cases where it will be necessary to update the data in the contract of electricity supply./p.s./

TIRANA, October 3 /ATA/ Deputy Prime Minister, at the same time Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Belinda Balluku spoke today about the program for subsidizing 70% of the price of the solar panel for every family that will install solar water heating units.

Balluku provided details through a press release of the process and steps to be followed for the program.

“In addition to all the other measures we have taken to save energy and to face an emergency energy situation, we have decided to undertake a series of other initiatives that are most necessary today than ever. We have discussed with all the experts and according to all the analyses and data, it turns out that 20% of the monthly consumption in the bill of each family subscriber belongs to the consumption that comes from water heating”, she said.

For this reason, Balluku said that the government is taking a first step that will help citizens to reduce consumption.

“To start this new process we have decided to go through several stages to create transparency and be fair to everyone, both solar panel providers and applicants. This is only a first step of this program that starts with 2 thousand families, but on the other hand this is only the first step for this end of the year, based on the progress of the program”, she added.

Balluku said that it is intended to reach a target of over 20,000 family subscribers who will be equipped with solar panels for water heating.

“The government will subsidize every family with 70% of the price. This process will be led by the Energy Efficiency Agency, a new agency that has been established in recent years, which should implement all new policies in the energy field beginning from the diversification of energy sources”, she said.

Balluku said that on October 1 to 18, there will be held the competition between the interested entities to offer solar energy production panels for water heating and their installation.

Meanwhile, Balluku explained that starting from November 1, citizens can apply to the program./r.e/p.s./
