After MP Edi Paloka held his speech, the other lawmakers of the opposition provoked chaos, noise and blocked the rostrum. Further on, Paloka burnt the Assembly’s Rules of Procedure book and threw it toward Speaker Lindita Nikolla.

Paloka also took the opportunity to remind the MPs that on February 20, 1991 he happened to be on hunger strike.

“This is not a real Parliament. There can be no Parliament until the opposition rights are restored”, said Paloka.

The opposition insists in the right to establish parliamentary investigative commissions.

“Either consciously or unconsciously, no better service can be offered to Rama at this moment,” he stated.

“Any Democrat who would accept such a thing, they would actually betray themselves and all those who pin their hope on the Democratic Party to remove the evil,” Paloka said.
