PACEP aims at assisting Parliament to improve its legislative, oversight and representation functions by better representing their constituents and holding the executive branch accountable, enhance cooperation with independent institutions under Parliament’s supervision and encourage active contribution of civil society.

The Right to Information and Data Protection Commissioner is one of the independent institutions included in the 3rd component of the “Parliamentary Oversight” project.

The assistance aims at enhancing performance and professionalism in delivering on more contemporary standards in exercising competences and increasing efficiency of the institutional activity.

The project will also help improve interaction between these authorities and Parliament, strengthen communication with citizens, civil society and interest groups in order to increase transparency, accountability and their active access to information and documents on the parliamentary activities.

Support to Parliament and Civic Education Project is funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and is implemented by the London-based British company Global Partners Governance (GPG) until the end of 2027.
