TIRANA, Aug 10 /ATA/- By I.Vata/ The investment in the outpatient clinic of Gjirokastra will bring about a transformation beyond recognition of the health service for the residents of the southern region.

Prime Minister Edi Rama, in a post on his social media account, has published images of the works at this outpatient clinic, emphasizing that the work in construction sites of healthcare is in full swing to serve citizens up to speed.

“The work continues at the Outpatient clinic of Gjirokastra, to offer health service to the residents of the southern region up to speed,” says Rama.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection is moving ahead with the modernization of the health service infrastructure at all levels, starting from primary care centers to university hospitals, with the aim of improving the quality of health service provision for citizens.

Specifically, the Albanian government is investing in the renewal of the fleet of devices in the amount of 4.2 million euros. As part of strengthening the fleet of medical equipment, four new state-of-the-art scanners will be installed in the hospital structures, more specifically, in the “Shefqet Ndroqi” University Hospital and the University Trauma Hospital, doubling the capacities, as well as in the Pediatrics of the University Hospital Center “Mother Teresa” and in the Regional Hospital of Korça.
