Defence Minister noted that Albanian Navy ships are contributing to the international efforts as part of the NATO maritime mission to stop illegal trafficking and migration in the Aegean Sea.

Peleshi said that the crew of the Albanian patrol boat have successfully rescued 20 people on board.

“The illegal migrants, mostly Palestinians, were handed over to Greece’s Coast Guard for further procedures,” Defence Minister added.
