He emphasized that, unlike the practice of “corrupt candidate lists,” the Opportunity Party’s candidates have not held positions or enjoyed perks, instead they come from honest, hard work.

Shehaj described Rama’s statements about new political parties as an attempt to maintain control over the political system. “Edi Rama says we don’t need third parties because he fears change. He wants to keep the old guard in play, rotating corruption,” Shehaj stated.

According to him, the Opportunity Party is currently the third-largest nationally, but it does not aim to be a kingmaker or an ally of the old system. “This is just the beginning. We will become the leading party. And when that day comes, Edi Rama will no longer have a place in politics,” Shehaj concluded.
