TIRANA, July  15 /ATA/ The Ministry of Tourism and Environment calls on all operators who exercise water activities, for touristic purposes, to be certified.

According to the ministry, the certification of maritime tourism operators should be carried out not only in compliance with the law, but above all it should meet all the criteria to guarantee safe tourism.

This process is carried out during 12 months of the year and the staff of the Ministry of Tourism and Environment is available to assist businesses during the completion of the documentation according to the law and the guideline in force.

In the last 2 years, the Ministry of Tourism and Environment has periodically informed about the need to fulfill this obligation and many maritime tourist operators have managed to complete the necessary documentation, exercising their activity during the tourist season, in compliance with all rules and safety conditions.

“Any incident that may occur in our water spaces due to failure to comply with the rules or lack of control by the state agencies enforcing these rules, would not only be tragic and have consequences for the lives of tourists, but would also tarnish the image of the country, it would damage tourism and penalize thousands of regular businesses that meet all the criteria, respect the rules and do an exceptional job in the advancement of tourism in all urban, rural and natural areas of the Republic of Albania,” according to the Ministry of Tourism and Environment.
