Vengu emphasizes that this exercise has demonstrated the professionalism and capabilities of the Special Operations Regiment troops, who successfully completed the national assessment of a Special Ground Operations Task Group.

In a post on social media account, Minister Vengu stated that the national assessment of a Special Ground Operations Task Group took place under the supervision of representatives from NATO’s Special Operations Command.

“Together with the crews of the Cougar and Black Hawk helicopters of the Air Force, the special operators demonstrated a high level of operational readiness and interoperability.”

Vengu also highlighted that the Ministry of Defense continues to invest in human resources capabilities.

“This commitment is clearly reflected in the recent decision of the Albanian government to increase the financial remuneration for military personnel, which also includes the forces of the Special Operations Regiment by up to 40,000 lekë,” Minister Vengu said in his post.
