TIRANA, Dec 2 /ATA/ – By Maela Marini/ Prime Minister Edi Rama stated on Thursday that the new law on Co-Governance and the Anti-Corruption Platform is a control instrument in the hands of the citizens.

At the first awareness meeting on the new law on Co-Governance, which was organized in Elbasan, Prime Minister Rama underlined the importance of the new law.

“In this first phase, it is necessary that we give the citizens the opportunity to ask explanations for the service. One of the most flawed services in Albania is that of property, legalizations and obtaining the property title. Today, anyone can apply for the property title and legalization without needing to go to the Cadastre at all and wait for the answer according to the time line,” said Rama.

The Prime Minister added that “we are not yet at the stage that immovable property office and legalization documents are generated online, because it is a process that requires completion of the entire base, yet the application is fully possible.”

Meanwhile, Rama clarified that “if the response for an application is not delivered on schedule, the citizen has in hand a mechanism that immediately sets in motion the administration to respond, the co-governance platform.”

Rama added that Albania ranks among the first countries in Europe that offer online services.
