The institution expresses its condolences for the tragic death of the 7-year-old minor, who was hit by a boat driven by a police officer on the beach of Potami in Himare.

The People’s Advocate calls on the competent bodies to carry out all appropriate investigative actions, as soon as possible to bring all relevant persons or structures to justice.

“On the other hand, this accident requires an in-depth analysis by the structures of the State Police and other state institutions, of the actions or inactions of the persons responsible for taking the necessary measures to prevent incidents with boats in the coastal areas,” the press release of the announcement of the People’s Ombudsman reads.
