There are over 300,000 olive trees throughout the hilly area in the villages of this region, such as Panaja, Narta, Kanina, Bestrova, Trevllazer, etc..

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared Friday on social media breath-taking views of the hills covered with olive trees in the village of Trevllazer, Vlorë.

The region of Vlora ranks among the first in the country in the production of olives and the export of olive oil.
Entire Riviera and the south of Albania had an abundant production of olives last year, while the improvement in quality has led to an increase in the export of olive oil.

Specifically, for the period January-June 2023, according to the data of the Ministry of Agriculture, 1,400 tons of olive oil were exported, compared to 326 tons of oil that were exported in 2022. Compared to 2022, exports up to the month of June have increased threefold./m.m/sm/
