During the meeting with fuel distributors held at the government seat, Balluku brought to attention the CoM decision dating back to 2004 on crises, which provides for the obligation to hold the stock of oil and the relevant sanctions in the event of failure to comply with it.

“It is necessary to talk about the government requirements, ask you to fulfill the obligation of present oil reserves. The Ministry has the data and all the quantities of security reserve that each of you must maintain are clear and transparent, ” said Balluku.

Balluku stressed that, “oil refineries and trading companies are obliged to maintain security stocks equal to 90 days of sale security. The board that will be set up to manage on a daily basis the entire performance of the oil market will be tasked with administering through control instruments the situation of oil reserves in each of the entities, while we will start the field control to check the present situation of oil stock. ”
