According to the General Directorate Customs data, oil imports in the period from January to July 2023 rose to 343 248 tonnes from 311 328 cleared by the customs administration during the same period ofg the previous year.

Customs revenues from VAT on imported goods, excise duties, customs tax and mineral royalties amounted to 121.7 billion lek or 862 million lek less than during the same period of 2022, down by 0.7%, and around 6 billion lek or 4.7 % less than planned for the seven-month period of this year.
