TIRANA, February 21/ATA/- The well-known journalist of the prestigious “New York Times”, Kenneth P. Vogel, has denied the statement of the leader of the Democratic Party Sali Berisha that he was paid by Prime Minister Edi Rama for an article regarding the employment of Chris LaVita in the Democratic Party.

In a post in the social network “X”, the journalist has published Berisha’s statement, stating that it is a false accusation.

“Sali Berisha, the Albanian opposition leader, seems to be accusing Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama of paying me (or the “New York Times”) €150k to write a story about Berisha’s party hiring ChrisLaCivita. Berisha’s accusation is false” stated he.

Berisha stated yesterday that, “Rama’s payment for the “New York Times” had a boomerang effect. LaCivita said he came to Albania to continue Trump’s work”.

“Two days ago he paid, by himself or through the others, 150 thousand or whatever that space in the “New York Times” against me might have cost. But, it had a boomerang effect. Yesterday, one of the two chief strategists of the remarkable, most extraordinary comeback in history, the comeback of Donald Trump to the White House, said to the New York Times that ‘I went to Albania to continue Donald Trump’s work to make Albania great again’”, Berisha stated during meeting of the Leading Board of the Democratic Party. /p.s./
