TIRANA, October 13 /ATA/ After the 0-1 victory in Leskovac versus Serbia, Albania will face Jordan in a friendly on Tuesday at “Air Albania” stadium in Tirana, in a match that starts at 19:00.

National team Head Coach Sylvinho appeared today before this challenge in a press conference.

He emphasized that in the friendly versus Jordan, the players who have been less active will also be activated.

“It is not easy. I do not believe in friendlies; everyone plays to win. But, we are working from today, tomorrow we will determine the 11”, he said.

However, Sylvinho added, “We shall consider everything, training, exercises; obviously the most important thing is the match. Cake and Gripshi are players with personality”, he said.

Regarding the possibility of being qualified for the World Cup, Sylvinho said that, “We have two big matches in November versus Andorra and England. For the first time, Albania goes to play the last two matches in the group for the World Cup qualifiers with a chance to fight in the play-offs, it’s great. The next match is very important”.

Asked about his future in the bench of the Albanian National Team, Sylvinho said, “It is not the time to talk about my future”. /j.p/p.s./

TIRANA, November 29/ATA/ The Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Montenegro organized the reception on occasion of the Flag Day.

Present at this event were the Prime Minister of Montenegro Dritan Abazovic, Chairman of the Foreign Commission Miodrag Lekic, government ministers, members of the Assembly of Montenegro, mayors, ambassadors and representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Podgorica, representatives of the media, NGOs and representatives of the Albanian political factor in Montenegro.

In his welcoming speech, Ambassador Ridi Kurtezi noted that, “November 28, 1912 is the most important date in the history of Albania, the day when all Albanians proudly celebrate the declaration of Independence, which did not come as a gift, but only through wars, centuries of sufferings and sacrifices”.

As a historical fate, Kurtezi has evidenced that November is the month that connects another important event for Albanians – the celebration of liberation from Nazi-fascism, proudly lining up the country side by side with the winners of the Second World War.

In his speech, the ambassador pointed out that the relations between Albania and Montenegro are very good relations of neighborliness and cooperation, which are a good example of neighborliness in the region.

“This positive trend is the result of a two-way political will, which sees the neighbor as a partner, a contributor to the achievement of the common goal of stability and progress, development and well-being”, he said.

Furthermore, Ambassador Kurtezi emphasized that the next year will be important in bilateral relations as there is planned the meeting of the two governments while it will begin implementation of the Buna Bridge Project which will bring Shkodra and Ulqin closer together and make Buna into navigable.

The ambassador emphasized that a very important element and an added value in the progress of bilateral relations are the Albanian compatriots in Montenegro, who have continuously been a bridge of friendship between the two countries.

He expressed his pride that Albanians have contributed to the future and development of Montenegro, to the independence, consolidation, prosperity and integration processes in NATO and the EU and that they continue to contribute to the governance of the country, showing responsibility and political constructiveness.

At the end of his speech, the ambassador highlighted another element that lies in the common interests of our two countries, that of integration into the EU, stressing that the Western Balkans should be part of the European family and integration should be fast, complete and for the whole region. /p.s./
