TIRANA, Nov 26 /ATA/ – Albanian schoolchildren and high-school students this week organised performances ahead of the country’s November 28 Independence Day and November 29 Liberation Day celebrations.

Prime Minister Edi Rama on Wednesday shared on social media a video he described as a holiday card produced by 150 young artists from the Jordan Misja Arts High School and the cultural centre “Albanian Night”, part of an extracurricular “Art and Craft” programme.

The video shows students wearing traditional costumes from various regions and performing the patriotic song “Rrjedh në këngë e ligjërime” accompanied by musical instruments.

Rama has also posted several other performances prepared for the national holidays, which mark Albania’s 113rd anniversary of independence in 1912 and the 81st anniversary of the World War Two occupation in 1944.

Schools across Tirana have decorated classrooms with national symbols, while children have produced drawings and paintings to mark the anniversaries.

TIRANA, Nov 25 /ATA/ – Pupils at the Servete Maçi school in the Albanian capital have produced a video greeting ahead of the country’s Nov. 28-29 Independence and Liberation Day holidays.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared the clip on social media on Tuesday. The video shows students dressed in red and black, waving national flags and playing instruments to the song “O moj e bukur Arbëri” by the late singer Vaçe Zela.

Schools across Tirana have begun November holiday activities, displaying national symbols and organising art and craft programs.

Teachers say the events aim to boost children’s creativity as Albania marks the 113th anniversary of Independence and the 81st anniversary of Liberation this week.
