According to the Bank of Albania, the stock of non-performing loans decreased to ALL 45 billion or EUR 370 million at the end of the first 6 months of 2021.

The non-performing loan ratio dropped to 7.05% at the end of July, which is the lowest level on record since 2009.

The BoA announces that non-performing loans’ stock has improved during this year, mainly in the segment of lending to businesses by 8.4% and foreign currency-denominated loans by 7.9%. While the ratio of uncollected loans to the total of non-performing loans reached 52% from 47% a year ago.

Bad loans are those loans that have not been repaid for more than a year. /a.a/sm/
