“This time we are leaving behind was extremely difficult. But, we are not of those who surrender, no. We managed to get vaccines beyond all expectations. In a few months time, this great suffering will be over. Albania will host tourists from all over the world this summer. Hotels, restaurants, every beach and mountain of Albania will be open. No restrictive schedules. We will return to our desired life and move forward with strength and speed. We have so much work to do until the end and full of goodness and joy to share with each other”, said Rama.

The vaccination process has been performed according to a combined schedule for teachers, the elderly over 80 and health personnel, at focal points as well as school venues across the country. Today, there also begins mass vaccination for the population over the age of 70 years.

A total of 62,858 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been performed since the start of vaccination.

31,216 vaccinations were given to health personnel and support staff, 12,552 vaccinations to the elderly and 19,090 vaccinations to teachers. The vaccination process is being carried out according to all safety and quality parameters by trained vaccination teams./p.s./

During an interview on TV, Ruseti reacted to opposition allegations that the municipality was conducting propaganda by giving citizens house certificates in exchange for the vote.

Ruseti said the municipality is issuing those certificates where housing reconstruction has been under way for a long time, since the first earthquake in September and then, following the tragic November earthquake.

The only goal, according to her, is to bring family members into their homes as soon as possible.

“The focus of the municipality has been individual rural houses. So far, 200 families have moved into the new houses and another 200 are expected to enter,” she said.

Regarding families in tents, Ruseti said there are currently 80, but noted that most of them are housed in containers.

“There are 10 thousand families that have benefited from the reconstruction grants and 1600 families that have received grants for the construction of the house from scratch or in-depth reconstructions”, she said./j.p/r.e/p.s./
