TIRANA, July 29 /ATA/ – A total of 4,701 applications were submitted through the government portal e-Albania to the National Business Center for new economic activity licenses in the first six months of 2025.

The online application system has streamlined the process, saving time for citizens seeking business licenses.

According to data published by e-Albania, 9,082 applications for new economic activity licenses were registered with the National Business Centre throughout 2024. Meanwhile, between 2019 and 2023, a total of 21,269 such applications were filed.

The Albanian government continues to prioritize digitalization and ways to streamline business procedures.

As part of ongoing digital reform, businesses can now complete all necessary services provided by the National Business Centre online via the e-Albania portal, significantly reducing processing times, administrative steps, and waiting lines.

Furthermore, legislative changes enacted last year eliminated several application fees previously charged to businesses, and official extracts are now issued exclusively in electronic format free of charge through the electronic counter system.
