Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mirela Kumbaro, said on Thursday that “Nepravishta, the beautiful village of Libohovë steeped in tourist treasures, is increasingly developing into an attractive natural, culinary, and cultural destination.”

Kumbaro stated that “initiatives like the project ‘In the Village 2,’ which we are developing together with our partners such as GIZ Albania, carve new pathways for sustainable development alternatives and help the people of Libohovë, who are increasingly dedicating themselves to tourism each year, improve their service standards and showcase the best of Libohovë hospitality.”

During two weeks, the students of “In the Village 2,” divided into four teams under the guidance of their mentors and distributed in the villages of Zogaj, Rabdisht, Boboshticë, and Nepravishtë, explored, closely collaborated with the respective municipalities, and met with local residents.

In recent years, the village of Nepravishtë has sparked the interest of both local and foreign tourists. This village is home to several cultural monuments, such as the Castle of Melani, the Water Supply System at the Melani Monastery, the Paleochristian Church of Manastareqi, and the Melani Tekke, which is thought to be an extension of the ancient Illyrian city of Antigonea or built on the remains of an unknown city.
