Nëmërçka Mountain in Përmet is one of the favorite destinations of mountain tourism in recent years.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared photos of this mountain in the social media, inviting mountain climbing enthusiasts to visit it.

“The postcard from Mount Nëmërçka in Përmet that is becoming part of the map of mountain tourism”, wrote Rama.

Nëmërçka is part of a mountain range between Përmet and Gjirokastra. Nemerçka has a sharp mountain slope that falls directly into the Vjosa Valley. The highest peak is Papingu, 2485 m, which is also the highest point of the entire Trebeshina-Dhëmbel-Nemërçka range. Other peaks of this mountain are: Gataku, Qesari and Poliçani peak.

Mountain tourism in Albania is considered one of the biggest tourist resources of the country, next to the coast, attracting foreign and local tourists.
