This neighborhood will house around 1200 inhabitants affected by the earthquake.

Prime Minister Edi Rama published on Sunday images of the new neighborhood which consists of 128 individual housing units and 15 apartment buildings.

“Good morning, and with this view of the new “Rilindja” neighborhood in Fushë-Kruja, I wish you a lovely Sunday,” said Rama.

Fushë-Kruja is one of the areas that was damaged the most by the devastating November 26 earthquake. The reconstruction site lies 1 km away from the city center.

The development plan covers an area of 10 hectares including individual houses, multi-residential buildings, educational facilities and service units.

The government says that by spring of 2022 there will be no signs of the earthquake left.
