Foreign Minister Hasani underlined that today’s intergovernmental conference served to open negotiations with Albania on the so-called cluster 3: competitiveness and inclusive growth.

“Another important milestone today: the official opening of Cluster 3 – Competitiveness and Inclusive Growth during the 5th Intergovernmental Conference in Brussels,” Hasani said in a post on the social media.

“Today’s opening of 8 new chapters reflects Albania’s merit-based progress and is a clear sign of how far we’ve come in such a short time. Our EU path has never been clearer or more determined,” Foreign Minister added.

Cluster 3 – Competitiveness and Inclusive Growth- includes the following negotiating chapters:

Chapter 10 – Digital transformation and media,

Chapter 16 – Taxation,

Chapter 17 – Economic and monetary policy,

Chapter 19 – Social policy and employment,

Chapter 20 – Enterprise and industrial policy,

Chapter 25 – Science and research,

Chapter 26 – Education and culture,

Chapter 29 – Customs union
