Talks focused on investments in critical industries and infrastructure aimed at structurally and sustainably strengthening Albania’s defence and response capabilities in line with commitments made at the Hague Summit.

Defence Minister Vengu said innovation would be central to modernisation efforts across Albania’s industrial and military sectors.

“This approach supports the growth of NATO and EU mission capabilities where Albanian troops are currently engaged, especially in KFOR,” he noted.

Vengu added that ahead of the upcoming Adriatic Charter countries’ meeting in Tirana, Albania and the United States “share the same assessment of the nature and level of threats in Southeast Europe.”
