During the ceremony held in Tirana for awarding the “Order of the Great Star” by Prime Minister Edi Rama, Commander Wolters stated that he has witnessed from 2016 until now that the growth under the leadership of Prime Minister Rama skyrocketed.

“Never in my short life, on planet Earth, have I been so touched. For me this is the gathering of a life and it means so much to me and I want to share it with the rest. “However, I will start by talking about your nation growing day to day, to reflect your values,” said Wolters.

According to him, Albania is the big brother of NATO in the region and what other countries do is see your country and know where they will go and what they will do.
And that, he noted, is an extraordinary responsibility.

He also shared a story with the Prime Minister.

“He has given me one of the most thoughtful gifts that I will cherish throughout my lifetime. Some of you have been able to travel to my office in Belgium and have seen a picture that captures so much about the relationship between the US and Albania. It comes with a wonderful story from the Prime Minister about the trials and tribulations that nations have and how important it is to stay the course. The Albanian -American relationship will have another more exciting 100 years than the first 100 years,” said Wolters.

Wolters also spoke about the precious elements of wearing a military uniform, with one of those being the feeling of inspiration by unique human beings who get the mission done while also treating everyone with dignity and respect.
