At a media briefing, Nano said that ” these actions of State Police are not intended to strike terror in the police forces. “I assure the police forces of my personal and legal support for the work they do.”

“The drug testing will be performed according to very clearly defined procedures and we will not take any criminal action against any police officers unless there is enough evidence. The drug testing is not over, it is in the early stages. “Our goal is primarily to prevent the use of narcotics and then we will continue with other phases of testing including other accredited state institutions that will hand down the final act for each police officer drug tested,” he said.
